Florence in Bury St Edmunds

Bury St Edmunds gives a wedding car more to work with than almost anywhere else in Suffolk. The Abbey Gate, the Cathedral tower, the Georgian frontage of the Athenaeum and the ruins in the Abbey Gardens are all within a few hundred yards of each other, and photographers use every one of them.

Florence suits that setting. She is a Nissan Figaro convertible in mint green with a cream leather interior – an unmistakably period car that reads as part of the picture rather than as transport parked at the edge of it. Roof up she is a neat little saloon; roof down she is something else entirely.

West Suffolk is a comfortable run for us. The closest we have worked so far is the Newmarket side, at Granary Estates and the church at Woodditton, and we would be glad of more work in and around Bury itself – Stowmarket, Thurston, Woolpit and the villages between.

Getting to Bury St Edmunds

We are based at Bedfield, about 28 miles east of Bury St Edmunds – roughly 45 minutes across country or via the A14. That covers the town centre, the villages around it, and the estate venues on the Newmarket side without any travel supplement.
