Nissan Figaro wedding car hire in Cambridge

Cambridge is the furthest west we regularly travel, and one of the places where a small car earns its keep. College gateways, bollarded streets and the city's one-way system rule out a great many wedding cars before the conversation starts. Florence is under twelve feet long and gets where larger cars are turned away – she has driven a St John's College wedding, with the run out afterwards to the Red Lion at Grantchester.
 
She is a Nissan Figaro – a soft-top classic with cream leather, chrome and a dashboard that looks like it belongs in a different decade. Against the stonework of a Cambridge college she photographs like a prop rather than a hire car, which is generally the point.
 
Because Cambridge is a longer run for us we plan the day backwards from your ceremony time and set off with an hour in hand. If the timings are tight, or there are two journeys to make, say so at the enquiry stage and we will build it in.

Bedfield to Cambridge is about 60 miles, usually an hour and twenty minutes via the A14. Cambridge sits at the outer edge of our usual radius, so we take a limited number of Cambridgeshire bookings each season – worth enquiring early if your date is a popular one.

Florence does Cambridgeshire proms as well as weddings. She has taken two friends to their prom at Sawston Village College, collecting from the village and arriving with time in hand. Prom hire starts at £200.
