Florence in Suffolk

Florence lives in Suffolk. She is garaged at Bedfield, between Framlingham and Debenham, which puts almost every wedding in the county within an hour of her front gate. That matters more than it sounds: a car that starts the morning forty miles away on the A14 arrives with the weather and the traffic still on it, and with a chauffeur who has never seen your venue before.

She is a Nissan Figaro – a genuine period soft-top in mint green, with cream leather, chrome and a dashboard from another decade. She seats three, or two in real comfort with the front passenger seat lifted out to give a dress the room it needs. She is not a limousine and is not pretending to be one. She is small, cheerful and completely unlike anything else that will pull up outside a Suffolk church that morning.

In practice she has worked most corners of the county already – Woolverstone Hall on the Orwell, the Shire Hall at Woodbridge, Butley Priory out towards the coast, St Peter and St Paul's at Felixstowe, and the estate venues over on the Newmarket side. John drives her himself, in a suit, shirt and tie, and arrives about half an hour early so there is time to dress the car and take photographs before anyone needs to leave.

Covering Suffolk

Suffolk is home, so there is no travel supplement anywhere in the county. From Bedfield it is about 5 miles to Framlingham, 14 to Woodbridge, 20 to Ipswich, 27 to Felixstowe, 28 to Bury St Edmunds and 33 to Lowestoft. Stowmarket, Debenham, Saxmundham, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Beccles, Sudbury and Newmarket are all comfortably inside the area we cover as standard.

Prom car hire in Suffolk

Suffolk school proms fill our June and early July, from Framlingham and Woodbridge across to Ipswich, Stowmarket and Lowestoft. Florence collects from home, allows time for photographs on the drive, and arrives with the roof down if the weather allows. Prom hire starts at £200, and the popular dates go early.
